Akimaru (秋丸, Akimaru) is a member of the Gourmet Knights' Four Seasons Team (四季組, Shiki-gumi).

Appearance

He has well-styled short black hair and has two line tattoos above and below his eyes.

Personality

Like all Gourmet Knights, he follows the Gourmet Doctrine.

Powers and Abilities

Not much is know about his power besides his ability to alter the path of his arrows in mid-flight as shown when they swerved above Toriko's Fork Shield.^[1]

He has incredible physical and mental stamina, being able to last ten years of constant isolation, fasting, and physical exertion.^[2]

History

Bubble Fruit Arc

When Toriko, Komatsu, and Terry Cloth arrive at Simple Diet Hill, Akimaru fires three arrows at them. Toriko uses Fork Shield to block them, but they go over it, Toriko then uses Knife to destroy the arrows. He soon realizes Toriko is not a poacher and apologizes for his rudeness.^[3]

ANOTHER Arc

The Gourmet Knights go to retrieve pieces of the Seven Beasts for the creation of Golden Cookware.^[4] They return exhausted but successful after their six-day trip was stretched to a 10-year ordeal, due to the time dilation effect of the Seven Beasts' Back Channels.^[5]
